The Women's UGG Gillespie Boot

UGG Gillespie Boot - The New Trend

UGG has gone on a biker kick and the UGG Gillespie Boot is your evidence. I'm not sure if any of the designers have actually ever ventured anywhere on a motorcycle, but they've got the footwear about right. As someone who's spent her life around Harleys and other bikes that give a loud VROOM!, I consider myself somewhat of an expert when it comes to shoes on the road. I've owned numerous pairs over the last 30 years that had the express purpose of being my on-the-road boots.

What are the good things about the UGG Gillespie Boot?

These boots are made from premium, slick leather with an interior of soft suede and trademarked sheep-skin -- all attributes that add up to this footwear being water-resistant, sweat-free, odor-free, and super comfortable. The exterior is pitch-black with 2 straps that end in silver buckles for a very modern, chic biker appearance. Albeit, the best part, and the part I'm most excited about with these boots is their climate protection. I've driven through a thunderstorm that lasted an hour, and even after that, it was still drizzling. Which all leads to soaked clothes, sopping wet shoe insoles, and discomfort. The UGG Gillespie Boot is snug enough to prevent water from getting in and the slick exterior means the rain beads right off.

My only complaint with the UGG Gillespie Boot is the cost. At $300 a pair, I think that's a little too much to pay for a good pair of boots. Although, if the ones I just bought will last me more than a decade, I'll reconsider the above statement and UGG can charge me whatever they want. In the long run, I think these boots will at least outlast the pair before them -- totaling out at 3 years. I'm looking forward to many happy and dry road trips with these boots.

The Women's UGG Cosima Tall Boot

UGG Cosima Tall Boot - GoGo Friendly

It's not everyday you meet a GoGo dancer who tells you that her footwear is fabulous and comfortable. Well… nice to meet you! I'm proud to be just the woman to tell you all of the above, because I've found my match made in footwear heaven in the UGG Cosima Tall Boot. With a designer like UGG, you know these boots come with a few notable trademarks and excellent additives, such as the ultra-comfy sheep-skin interior.

What else is so great about the UGG Cosima Tall Boot?

The better question would be, "What's wrong with the UGG Cosima Tall Boot?" and the answer would be, NOTHING. Amazing, I know. Especially when UGG has been the cause of so many fashion faux pas in the last decade; lest we not forget the traditional UGG boots over a pair of leggings. Can you say unoriginal and a downright annoying trend? Anyways, back to my super cool boots! These are assembled from all leather with 5 silver snaps on the outside of each boot. They ride to around knee-high, while a wedge heel boosts my stature by a stunning 5 inches. That's significant height to a woman who's been nothing but 5'3' all her life!

As a GoGo dancer, I've received an abundance of compliments and appraising stares since I've started wearing the UGG Cosima Tall Boot. I've suggested them for comfort and attractiveness to some of my work buddies, as well as to some female customers from the clubs. Although, with their $300 price tag, it's understandable that the aforementioned work buddies and female customers might be a little hesitant to buy into this kind of footwear. However, I foresee these being in the closet of every GoGo gal in the U.S….maybe. Then again, it's also nice to be the only chick in the club-cage with a savage pair of awesome kicks.

The Women's UGG Cydnee Boot

UGG Cydnee Boot - The Ordinary Girl

You always read reviews where the wearer of a pair of shoes is something great in their career field, like a Cabaret superstar, a Pediatrician, or a well-recognized artist. Unfortunately, I am none of these things, and yet I own the UGG Cydnee Boot; a fantastic pair of shoes that I foresee being at the forefront of my closet for years to come. I'm the living, breathing example of how ordinary girls can have amazing footwear and rock it with a cute outfit the same way a business woman or a GoGo dancer could. Not to say that I won't be in the position of working someplace great one day, but for now, I strut my stuff in my apartment building or in the dog park while walking "Furball" -- my amazing pup who I love so much for not being the type of dog to chew on my shoes.

These boots are very… dusty. For lack of a better word. They remind me of something you might see in a Resident Evil movie, or perhaps a modern rendition of a very old Western. They're not actually covered in dust, but I could definitely imagine walking around the desert in these boots. Tumbleweeds are everywhere, and there I am, the average chick taking the ordinary trek through the middle of nowhere in boots that won't make my feet hurt. That fact alone makes the UGG Cydnee Boot great! I cannot tell you how many shoes are thrown to the back of my closet just because they make my arches ache, or they put blisters on my heels.

Now the big reveal… the UGG Cydnee Boot was $295! I'll wait for you to stop gasping or wake up from fainting. I know! So expensive! But when you work 30 hours a week at a job you hate, you get to feeling entitled to doing something nice for yourself, and these were it for me. So far, I couldn't imagine having spent that much money on any other piece of clothing. These boots were a one time buy with (hopefully) long-lasting, comfortable effects.

The Women's UGG Taleen Boot

UGG Taleen Boot - Oh, Mummy!

I have a very cool job as a in-costume monster at a year-around horror house in NC. I go back and forth between roles, but my favorite is the part of the feminine Mummy at the monster's ball. The scenario is what you'd imagine the song "Monster Mash" is all about. Anyway, I get to pick the items for my costume and as long as they're feminine and mummy-esque, it's approved for me to wear in the scenarios. Imagine my surprise when I saw the UGG Taleen Boot and work immediately jumped to mind! It was a horror-oriented epiphany… in a good way.

Why were these boots perfect for my upcoming Mummy costume?

Good question! Glad you asked! *wink* When you think of a mummy, it doesn't matter what kind of decrepit condition you picture them in, it's always under wrapping. Lots and lots of wrapping that resembles gauze bandages or really thick toilet paper. Well, that image (in essence) is my costume, except the wrapping is made into a skirt and (conservative) halter top. The UGG Taleen Boot was ideal because it looks wrapped in straps. Instead of having to wrap my feet in bandages for shoes, I can tread my way through a crowd of fellow monsters in boots that make me one tall and intimidating mummy babe.

The UGG Taleen Boot is also super soft, and it's something I can wear often because my job is an all-year gig. Plus, they were only $200, where the rest of my costume cost well over $400. Gauze bandages and mummy wrap is expensive! UGG has definitely gained my appreciation by coming out with a pair of boots that I can couple with my work costume. It's not everyday you're paid to dance around for the sake of horror in wedge heels and sleek suede.

The Women's UGG Conor Boot

UGG Conor Boot - What You'd Expect

The UGG Conor Boot isn't the shoe that someone would expect a devoted Pediatrician to wear; however, that's only my day job. In the evenings and on the weekends, the Phd falls to the wayside to reveal a biker babe that will rock your face off in her all-girl, badass band, "The Leather Ballerinas." Silly name, I know. But what's the fun in having a bar band if you're not going to go all out?! Anyway, back to the topic at hand… my new boots! They're beautiful and comfortable -- which is a surprise to me since they're manufactured by UGG; a brand name I had tried to avoid in the past due to the excessive, irritating fashion trends their boots have begun. But these are… different.

Constructed of mostly leather for the upper parts and the sole with a satiny material for the shaft, the UGG Conor Boot has the best insole I've ever felt in a pair of shoes. Made from the UGG trademark sheep-skin, these boots wick away moisture; that's sweat for all the layman termers out there. It's something I do a lot of when onstage, but when I get backstage, I don't want to knock out any fans or my fellow bandmates with how bad my feet smell after a performance. These boots have all but eliminated the odor and wetness that comes from sweating in front of glaring stage lights.

These are so comfortable that I've even been known to wear them under my sanitation booties at work. It's like my little secret, because no one would expect their child's doctor to enjoy rocking out and dressing in leather when the sun goes down. The UGG Conor Boot allows me to feel footwear freedom without the sweat. These were definitely well worth the $295 I spent for them.

The Women's UGG Gershwin Boot

UGG Gershwin Boot - 0 Purpose

At first glance, the UGG Gershwin Boot is a clunky, simple shoe. But, it's when you read the advertisement that you get to the heart of why these shoes look and feel the way they do. Followed by the confusion and finally the overall question of why these boots were designed in the first place. Perplexing in purpose, these boots are sensible for a variety of separate reasons, but it's when you put all those reasons together that you have footwear that just makes you wonder, "Why?"

What are the reasons the UGG Gershwin Boot is impractical?

The advertisement states that the UGG Gershwin Boot is made from "waterproof leather" in a "true biker style." Let that sink in… now ask yourself, why in the world would bikers need rain boots? Yes, I get the necessity of having something water-resistant to stave away the rain on those long cross-country excursions. But other than that, I don't know a single Hell's Angel (and I know several) who would walk around in a pair of $250 boots for the express purpose of not getting their feet wet. For that matter, I don't know any bikers who would walk around in $250 boots. Period. Especially not the UGG brand name. I think these boots should be labeled as what they are… "footwear for the fashionable fakers" -- also known as the biker wannabes; the ones who just bought a crotch-rocket and compare it to a Harley.

As a company, I think UGG should stick to catering to teen girls and fancy women. Leave the bikers and the water-resistance of their shoes to someone who's actually been on a motorcycle before. Overall, the UGG Gershwin Boot could have been better. WAY better. But on the ultra gloomy side, I'm sure I'll be seeing some college-age fashion queen running around in short-shorts, these boots, and little else come summertime. Therefore, UGG didn't lose too much money on making these atrocities.

The Women's UGG Tatum Boot

UGG Tatum Boot - Weird. Nuff Said.

The UGG Tatum Boot is weird in appearance. Constructed from premium leather that's been cut into puffed pieces down the length of each boot's shaft, it looks like the love child of a more feminine version of Marilyn Manson and the Jet-Puff man. Gothic in the worst of ways, each boot is equipped with 3 straps for adjustable snugness around your ankles. Truth be told, these boots create cankles; you know, that merger of calf and ankle that women try to AVOID. It's like your legs magically end in black balloons that suffered a clown who didn't know how to properly make anything attractive out of the shapeless rubber.

What else is wrong with the UGG Tatum Boot?

The price for these boots is ridiculous at $325 per pair. It seems a great deal of leather went into the making of this footwear; therefore, they have to raise the price to compensate for what they spent making them. But my question is, "Why the hell did they make them?!" Unfortunately, I don't foresee these being a typical, everyday pair of shoes for the average women. And by average, I mean women who aren't paid to strut down a runway for a few minutes before taking them off with a secret sigh of relief when they're back offstage. Hideous is too kind a word here, and that's being generous. When I think of boots, I picture something comfortable and feminine -- not clunky, expensive, and unattractive. For UGG, these boots are a definite flaw on their usually good track record of fantastic footwear.

Who would you recommend these boots to?

I would recommend the UGG Tatum Boot to women who don't believe me or those who have an extra $325 lying around to blow on something bad. If you're a usual UGG shopper, it'd be wiser to save that money for a double pair of traditional UGGs in 2 different colors. These would just be a waste of your hard-earned paycheck.

The Women's UGG Classic Tall Dylyn Boot

UGG Classic Tall Dylyn Boot - From The Photographer's POV

As someone who owns their own photography business and often does their own advertising, my projected image not only comes from the vivacious and eager nature of my personality, but also from what I wear to photo shoots and interviews. Used to, high heels accompanied any of my interview outfits -- albeit, not always the most practical footwear. I remember actually tripping UP stairs one time (yes, it's possible) while following a client to her in-home studio. How embarrassing! But that was before the UGG Classic Tall Dylyn Boot; a pair of shoes that have changed the way I dress just because of their comfort level, sensibility, and overall ability to go with any of my outfits.

At first, the UGG Classic Tall Dylyn Boot looks unappealing -- but that also comes from someone who wears fancy-schmancy, super expensive high-heels most of the time. I NEEDED something comfortable. My feet rebelled every time I went to an interview in heels, and I would return home after hours of being on my feet to discover the worst blisters ever. These boots were different because UGG is a brand name notorious for using traditional sheep-skin as their interior. I was sold on just that! Each boot is super soft on the inside, making it easier for me to stay on my feet for long periods of time.

Instead of being expectant of sores when I get home, I don't even have aches or pains from standing for too long. I've also discovered that these go really well with my typical Autumn/Winter wear -- as well as looking cute with a short, summertime dress or a pair of leggings. It's only been a few weeks, but already, I can say with honesty and conviction that these are the best boots (or shoes, for that matter) that I've ever had the pleasure of owning.

The Women's UGG Fabrice Boot

UGG Fabrice Boot - The Archetypal Principal

When I saw the UGG Fabrice Boot, I was instantly reminded of the ruthless and cold-hearted head-mistress in Reform School Girls; a classic B-film with a seductive, but unusually wicked tale. I was surprised UGG would have made a pair of shoes that would be considered so raw, edgy, and dominating; however, those are the synonyms I bought them for. I've always been interested in the women who say their day jobs are something mundane, but their evenings are spent being a dominatrix or working from a place of pure power.

What does the UGG Fabrice Boot look like?

Using a combination of premium leather and soft suede, the UGG Fabrice Boot has a lace-up front, complete with a side zipper for optimum snug-fit. From there, a rubberized heel and outer sole provide excellent traction with a firm-grip tread; plus, the insole is lined with the usual UGG brand sheepskin; a fabric that wicks moisture away while keeping feet warm. The overall appearance of these boots will at first suggest a clunky feel; fortunately, they fit true to size with the rounded foot acting as an extra area of support for your toes.

While I've always been the shy type, these boots brought out something animalistic in my personality; I became more dominant, taking the lead in usually difficult decisions and displaying a ferocity in the bedroom that my boyfriend definitely took notice in. After 2 weeks of wear, the UGG Fabrice Boot became my second-skin (not literally!). The defining moment for me was when the guy I've dubbed the "Office Bully" came striding arrogantly into work one day -- cocky and hateful, as usual. These boots boosted my stature by 4 incredible inches, allowing me to tower over and intimidate him through confident posture. It was the most exhilerating moment in my otherwise bored and dull work day!

The Women's UGG Calynda Boot

UGG Calynda Boot - The Odd Couple

Have you ever looked at a pair of shoes and wondered what kind of hallucinatory drugs the manufacturers were on to have created something so odd? That feeling pretty much sums up my thoughts on the UGG Calynda Boot. These boots are what would happen if Daniel Boone's woodland Ox mated with a well-to-do, big-city heifer. See! Even the way I describe them has to be strange. Perhaps UGG finally flipped their lids and decided to make something interplanetary or revolutionary, because clearly, these boots are not meant for this time period.

What's so wrong with the UGG Calynda Boot?

For one, the UGG Calynda Boot is $180 of pure ridiculous design. The advertisement states that these boots are for "practical" and fashionable wear; however, the only way a woman would wear these outdoors would be if she knew nothing about being outdoors in the first place. It's the equivalent of women who wear stilettos to go grocery shopping. Or the ones who prefer trendy flip-flops when mountain-climbing. All combinations that just wouldn't work in the real world. I'd imagine these boots would be sensible in theory, but their structure is way off for a casual stroll through rough or slightly rocky terrain. Compared to traditional hiking boots, this footwear would likely send you tumbling over a cliff before you could proclaim, "I should have worn better shoes!"

I can get past the easily stained suede material. I could even turn the cheek at the mention of the just-for-appearance laces on the front of each boot -- but the one thing I can't forgive is the 4 inch wedge heels. Who in the world would wear high heels of any kind to go tromping through the great wilderness? It wouldn't be much of a mobile camping trip. The UGG Calynda Boot would be alot better if they did away without the heels and frills of the modern fashion world, sticking to the simplistic design of what makes a reliable set of hiking boots.

The Women's UGG Fabrizia Boot

UGG Fabrizia Boot - Sense, Sensibility, and Fashion

There comes a time in every woman's life when she looks for the practical purpose in a pair of boots, instead of delving into their impact in the fashion world. At age 68, I reached that point, and the UGG Fabrizia Boot was there to pick me up. While I love a good pair of high heels, age is starting to rear it's wizened head and I find it harder to keep my balance in 4 inch stilettos, especially on my husband's recent purchase of farming land. Therefore, I threw caution to the wind and opted to spend $250 on a pair of boots that I hope will last me until I'm older, greyer, and wrinklier.

What does the UGG Fabrizia Boot look like?

To be honest, these boots aren't the prettiest that UGG ever designed. Constructed from high-quality leather and topped off with 2 straps that end in vintage silver buckles, the UGG Fabrizia Boot is more suited to milking cows than it is to walking runways. The traditional sheepskin insole that is a trademark of UGG keeps feet warm and dry, even while trudging through the muddy muck that new piglets can make when rooting around. With that said, these boots are also extremely easy to clean, with dirt wicking right off of them under the tiniest bit of water.

The name of these boots (the UGG Fabrizia Boot) sounds fancy, and possibly French or Italian. I'm thankful that the title is their only glittering, stylistic attribute, because I don't think I could do what I do on a daily basis around this farm with a pair of one-of-a-kind anything. I figure these boots will serve their purpose well in the upcoming years, and I've become too set in my lifestyle to worry about what the public thinks of what I wear on my feet.

The Women's UGG Classic Short Graffiti Boot

UGG Classic Short Graffiti Boot for Women - For The Love Of Creation

I'm a painter; a devout one who has immersed myself in art and its culture for the last decade. With this immersion comes the experience of new things and the development of innovative interests. One example of this would be what I wear on my feet. Instead of the usual sneakers, I tend to sway towards something like the UGG Classic Short Graffiti Boot. it's footwear that speaks volumes about the creation of beautiful and silly things, all without actually saying a word. I can imagine hearing my feet sigh in a content and artistically happy manner whenever I slip these on.

What's so special about the UGG Classic Short Graffiti Boot?

As someone who has become increasingly involved in the art world over the past few years, I've known several wonderful artist who used graffiti as their medium of choice (legally!). The UGG Classic Short Graffiti Boot is canvased in white, followed by crude graffiti images of claws in all their sharp bear-like glory. The claws can either be grey and light blue, or you can choose to have them in more vibrant tones -- such as sugar plum and seal. The overall outside appearance of this footwear is traditional UGG, with the larger feet portions and the spacious heels. The interior is lined with the usual warm, moisture-wicking sheepskin; a trademark of the UGG brand name.

I was also surprised at how inexpensive the UGG Classic Short Graffiti Boot was compared to other UGG footwear. These are $180, while others have reached peaks of almost $300 -- and that's with less design and vague artistic appeal. This is footwear made for people who want to stand out in a crowd; those who long for the fame and freedom of being recognized as diverse and brilliant. These are my go-to boots when I paint because they give me the confidence to do well.

The Women's UGG Channing II Boot

UGG Channing II Boot - Only Halfway Nice

When I first set eyes on the UGG Channing II Boot (a birthday present from my sister), I thought the box said "charming" instead of Channing. With this mistaken name in my head, I developed the illusion of fairytale footwear before I even opened the package. After I became acquainted with their appearance, I discovered a few details I liked about how these boots looked.

-- I ride horses on a regular basis and these looked like awesome riding boots. The leather is supple and this insole is lined with sheepskin, meaning I probably wouldn't have to wear the traditional riding socks with these. The sheepskin wicks away sweat while keeping my feet both warm and cool at the same time -- something typical riding boots can't do.

-- The stirrup is very western! Sometimes I go all out with the cowgirl ensemble; therefore, my clothes have to match my purpose. The stacked wedge heel makes me think of walking into a saloon whenever I put these boots on.

What did I not like about the UGG Channing II Boot?

Almost everything else. There really didn't seem to be much sense to these boots. The zippered sides extend halfway up the shoe before they're stiched up and closed at the top of each boot's entrance. That doesn't seem practical to me!

Zippers aren't very appealing in appearance so I'm wondering what angle the manufacturer was going for. Did they think this would look cute? Do they think people need to let their feet breathe in certain places? This odd inclusion of the zipper threw me off of the whole appeal to the UGG Channing II Boot. I need boots that are made with sensibility in mind -- clearly, these weren't. However, I'll be keeping them because of their sentimental value (birthday gift) and the fact that I like the way they look in my western cowgirl gear.

The Women's UGG Bianka Boot

UGG Bianka Boot - Mars Needs Babes

To understand my subtitle in relation to the UGG Bianka Boot, you need to first understand my obsession with Rob Zombie. I LOVE his music -- his movies -- his everything! Coincidentally, he has a song entitled "Mars Needs Women," which just happened to be the tune I was rocking out to when I stumbled upon the UGG Bianka Boot advertisement. These boots remind me of something a sensual space babe would wear. Something you'd see in a music video with celestial interplanetary beauties who want to imprison all the men and have their own reserved planet. Impossible, I know -- but still, I never said I was a rational thinker.

I had to have these! The UGG Bianka Boot is made from suede and the signature sheepskin lining with a few harder wedges of rubber for the heel and outer rim. A ring of material juts slightly out from around the toe of each boot, appearing like the wider loops around Saturn.

I saw these were also available in a wide range of sizes with three neutral colors to choose from -- black, brown, and tan. Of course, I chose black because that goes with everything and size 8s fit me perfectly. These boots fit like they were made specifically for my feet -- every contour is ideal while I was expecting the usual aching arches from walking around all day in 4.5 inch heels.

The side zipper is handy for nights when I'm really too tipsy to mess with shoe-laces or numerous buttons. The UGG Bianka Boot is the flawless clubbing footwear! I've gotten so many compliments -- although, when I'm dancing in my room all by myself while getting ready for the club scene, I'm dancing to "Mars Needs Women" and rocking these kicks around the bed. I've even been known to use a hairbrush as my microphone and these boots are the perfect addition to my pre-club private show!

The Women's UGG Annaliza Boot

UGG Annaliza Boot - Pillow Hoppers!

I remember when clog-style shoes meant those ugly little sandals that we had to pound the dance-floor with. The UGG Annaliza Boot has changed my outlook. Blanketed in suede and studded with sparkling faux jewels, I have dubbed my black pair of these boots the "pillow hoppers." Why? Because everytime I walk in them, I feel as if I'm walking on pillows. No kidding!

UGG is famous for their cushioned insoles (usually made from sheep-skin) but these feel so much more... plush! I think it's the same material, only fluffier and more abundant than in the traditional UGG boots. I wish I could better describe their amazing softness, but alas, every descriptive word seems to fall short.

Almost everything is an advantage when it comes to wearing the UGG Annaliza Boot. Though, there was one disadvantage that was annoying but could be remedied. I wore these during a light rainstorm -- naturally, a bad decision because water spots and suede are notorious enemies. Some of the water spots seemed to also be mixed with a little dirt -- so, I was a little upset at how easily these could become soiled. Fortunately, a mixture of white vinegar, a smidge of baking soda, and a spritz of cold water will remove all the dirt -- making these boots as good as when I first bought them.

Instead of dreading the long days of clogging lessons like I did when I was a kid, I'm hitting the local clubs with a pair of boots that are comfortable and alot more fun to wear. They make me want to jump in one of those dance club cages and shake my booty with the best of the go-go girls. The UGG Annaliza Boot is first on my lips when I'm asked what I'll be wearing for a night out with my girlfriends, and last on my mind when those same friends ask to borrow a pair of shoes. These boots give me a reason to be protective over my footwear!

The Women's UGG Ambrogia Bootie

UGG Ambrogia Bootie - The All-American Rockstar

I'm your typical good-girl. I'm simply not a risk taker -- therefore, I was hesitant to invest in these UGG Ambrogia Bootie, especially for a rock concert that I would never have gone to under normal circumstances. I was begged and pleaded to and whimpered at until I finally relented to going with my sister -- a devout musician and my beloved polar opposite. She's the one who talked me into these booties, but admittedly, I'm really glad she did.

The studded leather and slight heel seemed to bring out the wildchild in me -- specifically when combined with a borrowed mini-skirt and a ripped top that sported the logo for Def Leppard. Can you say totally hooked?! I was really "aware" of myself, and not in a good way, when I initially put this whole ensemble on. I was completely out of my element. However, after walking and dancing and totally rocking out in these booties, I can see why women feel the need to wear such savage footwear. I've always heard my sister say, "there's just something about a delicious pair of heels" and I have to agree with her.

The bootie tread gripped very well in the concert environment -- where it's very possible to fall because there's beer and who-knows-what allover the floor. The event lasted through a set of 14 songs, plus a pre-show -- adding up to a total of about 4 hours and these booties nourished my feet through every beat. They're comfortable where it counts; which was amazing because even my sneakers give me blisters.

The UGG Ambrogia Bootie seemed to become apart of me and apart of the swaying movements of my body. These are shoes that you'll want to dance in when the music overpowers every fiber of your being. Overall, good-girl or not, I think I'll be finding more reasons to wear these booties on a regular basis.
